Dr. Shepherd earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Marshall University in 2018. She completed her APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Cherokee Health Systems (CHS) in Knoxville, TN. During her time at CHS, Dr. Shepherd collaborated with diverse multidisciplinary teams, providing comprehensive care for various behavioral health needs. She received training in integrated care, which emphasizes a holistic approach, merging behavioral health services with primary care. Dr. Shepherd's training also includes health psychology, examining the complex interactions among biological, social, and psychological factors affecting health and well-being.
