About me
Heather received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University in 2011. She moved to Tennessee in 2013 to begin working toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked in a variety of mental health and substance abuse settings including residential co-occurring facilities, in-home family services, and outpatient care. She works with clients to establish a therapeutic relationship of trust and understanding before processing emotions or setting goals. Throughout her career, Heather has helped clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse/recovery issues, life transitions, relationship conflicts, and boundary-setting. She enjoys working with adults age 18+ for individual therapy. She is an LGBTQIA+ ally and celebrates religious, cultural, and racial diversity.
